This extremely desirable, gated, upscale community is located about 40 minutes west of Austin. It is technically not a part of Lakeway, but is surrounded by Lakeway. Go figure! This neighborhood used to cater only to golfers and retirees but with the addition of wonderful restaurants, shopping and a new medical center being built, more and more families are taking advantage of these amenities and making “The Hills” their home. Houses range in price from the mid $200′s and go over $700,000, with the square foot starting at 2200 and going to over 4600.
Technically, the correct name of this development is The Village of the Hills. Each lot includes a social membership to The Hills Country Club which is a Jack Nicholas design and quite beautiful. Jack knows what he’s doing! I like that it is a guard-gated community. When you enter into the gate you will find meandering streets with beautiful landscaping and architecturally different properties, all very well maintained and manicured. The new outside Hill Country Galleria, a few minutes away, has great shopping, delicious restaurants, music, an amphitheatre, condos, you name it. And, to top it off, it is in the Lake Travis ISD. I love this scenic, serene hill country community. If you like to golf, play on Lake Travis, live in a beautiful upscale community, send the kids to Lake Travis ISD and enjoy the extraordinary sunsets that only Lakeway can offer, you’ll love living in “The Hills”..
