The Village of Volente has more than 600 families living in this lakefront community along the shores of Lake Travis (North Shore).  The name of Volente is Latin and means “to be willing”.  In 1886 the post office was built and residents began to take advantage of Lake Travis and this small, quaint little city so close to Austin.  Houses range in price from the high $100,000′s to $4 million and were built from 1937 to 2010.  If you love waterfront living, in a small community, in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, then Village of Volente is the place for you!
